Study on human heat dissipation in air conditioning coolingload calculation

Focusing on the calculation method of human heat dissipation in summer in the air conditioning design specifications, by analysing the heat transfer process between human and the environment, based on the indirect calorimetry experiment and the human heat balance theory, this paper establishes a reference table for total heat dissipation for people of different ages aged 6 to 70 under various daily activities. The change trend of human heat dissipation with age and gender is also analysed. The reduction coefficients in relevant specifications that states that the heat dissipation of children and adult women is 75% and 85% of that of adult men, respectively, are verified and corrected. A calculation method of the heat dissipation reduction coefficients based on the growth characteristics of children and adolescents is proposed.
